House Republicans on Tuesday released six transcripts from the investigation led by former Special Counsel Jack Smith, which focused on President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers. The House Judiciary Committee published testimony from five prosecutors on Smith's team and a former Department of Justice watchdog agent.
Committee Republicans contend that investigators improperly subpoenaed phone records belonging to more than a dozen Republican lawmakers. They further allege that gag orders were secured, preventing these lawmakers from being informed that the Biden-Harris Justice Department had obtained their records as part of the Arctic Frost probe.
