Homicide Investigation Launched After Woman Found Dead in Suitcase at Kansas Fire Station

Police have launched a homicide investigation after a 67-year-old woman was discovered dead inside a suitcase at a Wichita, Kansas fire station. The incident began Wednesday evening when two people arrived at Wichita Fire Station 22 and reported that a body was contained within a suitcase they had brought.

Authorities have transported the body to the local medical examiner's office for an autopsy and to confirm the woman's identity, though investigators believe they know who she is. She had previously been reported missing.
