Home Depot's Tool Belt Sweater Sells Out Instantly
The home improvement giant's first-ever holiday sweater, complete with a functional tool belt and accessories, sold out within hours of its release.
Home Depot has entered the holiday apparel market with its first-ever branded holiday sweater, featuring a built-in, fully stocked tool belt. The festive garment, designed to help consumers "deck the halls," was released earlier today and has already sold out.
The orange and green crewneck sweater showcases a Fair Isle pattern with icons of wrenches and screwdrivers integrated into the design. The lower portion of the sweater includes an attached apron-style tool belt, providing practical functionality.
Equipped with the sweater, owners receive a screwdriver, tape measure, pliers, a rechargeable headlamp, Command outdoor light clips, a mechanical pencil, and a $50 gift card to Home Depot. The brand states the sweater offers a value of $150.
Priced at $29.99, the unisex sweater was available in sizes XS to XXL. However, despite a limit of one per customer, the initial stock sold out within hours of its release. Many customers expressed frustration on social media platforms like TikTok, reporting that the item sold out too quickly after the release time.
Home Depot has announced a second drop for the sweater, scheduled for October 15 at 11 a.m. ET, according to the brand's website. This offers another opportunity for shoppers to purchase the novelty item.
