Hollywood Hills Hillside Collapse Damages Home, Forces Apartment Evacuation

A partial hillside collapse in the Hollywood Hills on September 18, 2026, resulted in damage to a home and the evacuation of an apartment building situated above the slide.

Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the incident in the 1900 block of North Wilcox Avenue. Crews worked to stabilize the hillside and ensure the safe evacuation of residents from the apartment building located on Grace Avenue. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
