Holly Willoughby, 45, has turned to her 15-year-old daughter Belle for guidance on navigating YouTube, despite launching her new self-funded show, 'Together,' on the platform. Willoughby filmed herself in a taxi en route to the show's press launch, where she sought clarification on YouTube's functions from her daughter.
Belle's voice could be heard in the background as Willoughby explained her plans to release a trailer for 'Holly Willoughby Together' on the channel the following day. "I'm not quite sure when it's going to go on there, so I think, and I'm looking at my daughter here now because this is all new territory, but if you head on over there, search it, Holly Willoughby Together YouTube, go and subscribe," Willoughby stated. She then asked Belle for confirmation on how to activate notifications by pressing a bell icon, indicating her unfamiliarity with the process.
Belle's generation, which consumes content primarily through platforms like YouTube rather than traditional terrestrial television, served as an inspiration for Willoughby's new venture. The show, which she is self-funding, will feature Willoughby as both producer and presenter, alongside celebrity interviews.
'Holly Willoughby Together' is scheduled to launch on July 28 and will be broadcast twice weekly. It will be divided into five segments: Talk Together, Cook Together, Look Good Together, Better Together, and Hang Out Together. Willoughby is collaborating with a team at her husband Dan Baldwin's television production company, Hungry Bear, known for its work on shows such as 'Gladiators' and 'Michael McIntyre's Big Show' for BBC One.
A friend of the star commented in January that Willoughby, who has 25 years of television experience, sought to create her own project as daytime television undergoes changes. "The television landscape has changed so much, people are consuming content on TikTok and other digital platforms," the friend noted, adding that Willoughby saw an opportunity for something new and future-oriented.
Willoughby had more time available following her departure from 'This Morning.' She had presented the show for 14 years before leaving after becoming aware of a plot to kidnap, rape, and murder her. The former security guard involved in the plot, Gavin Plumb, received a life sentence in 2024. Willoughby's return to television was gradual, with appearances on ITV's 'You Bet' and Netflix's reality show 'Bear Hunt' in early 2025. Since then, she had been focusing on her role as a mother to her three children before deciding to re-enter the public eye.
