Holly Madison, a former 'Playboy' model, has openly discussed undergoing a lower facelift and other cosmetic procedures. The 46-year-old revealed the details during an appearance on the "Derm Approved" podcast.
Madison explained that her decision to have a lower facelift and chin liposuction was influenced by changes after having children. She noted that weight gain during her second pregnancy led to changes she felt were not fully addressable by non-surgical methods.
"I just felt like after having kids, you know, I gained a lot of weight with my second pregnancy. And there was just nothing I could do," Madison stated, indicating her jawline. "There were no lasers or anything that could really do what I wanted it to do so I found somebody whose before-and-afters I really loved."
She expressed a preference for a subtle outcome, saying, "I'd rather have it not go far enough and then I can go back and maybe do more rather than have it go too far and I'm looking like the Joker."
The recovery for the facelift involved two weeks off from her podcast recordings and took place with a nurse in Los Angeles. Madison acknowledged that scars are visible in front of her ears but stated it does not bother her. She also mentioned ongoing procedures such as Botox and IPL and CO2 laser treatments for the under-eye area.
Madison also shared reflections on other surgeries, describing breast implants as a "tricky thing" due to potential complications like rejection or breast implant illness. She also deemed a hand rejuvenation procedure a "waste of money."
During her time at the Playboy Mansion, Madison recalled that cosmetic procedures were common among residents, with Hugh Hefner sometimes covering the costs. She also revealed in 2024 on her podcast "Girls Next Level" that she had previously undergone cellulite removal surgery, a procedure she has had done twice in the past five years, noting it lasts about three years before cellulite begins to reappear.
Madison has previously spoken about her struggles with body dysmorphia, attributing some of it to her experiences at the mansion. She told People in 2023 that living there made her constantly question her appearance and what she could change to look better. Her past cosmetic procedures include a nose job and breast augmentation.
