Holdout Juror in Lindsay Clancy Mistrial Speaks Out, Urges Focus on Victims

Michael Desronvil, the sole holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial that resulted in a mistrial, has released his first direct public remarks, urging that the focus shift to the three children who died. The mistrial was declared earlier this month.

"I know the whole focus has been on me, but we want to reel everything back and put the focus on the three angels," Desronvil said in a video statement aired on Fox News' "Hannity." "The ones that can't speak for themselves, the ones that can't defend themselves, and the ones that can't fight the battles — and those are Cora, Dawson and Callan."

Desronvil, who has reportedly been staying at an undisclosed location, also spoke about his personal faith and gratitude. "I want to thank God for my Catholic faith," he said. "I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to love my daughter. And foremost, I would like to thank everyone, every individual, that has supported me throughout this difficult situation."

Previously, Desronvil had released statements through his attorney, Edward Paltzik, and via YouTuber Ray Marcel, also known as FugitiveTV. These statements primarily aimed to defend him against accusations from other jurors that he harbored reasonable doubts about the prosecution's case and refused to acquit Clancy. Desronvil has denied these claims.

His attorney, Paltzik, stated in an interview with Fox News' Kayleigh McEnany that Desronvil had "zero doubt" regarding Clancy's guilt. Paltzik also refuted reports of prior domestic violence allegations against Desronvil, calling them "false, fabricated, never happened, categorically false."

A public dispute has emerged between Paltzik and Clancy's defense attorney, Kevin Reddington. Reddington has referred to Desronvil as "the obstructionist juror" and has petitioned the court to investigate the allegations made by other jurors against him.

Clancy is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for a status conference. Prosecutors are expected to provide an update on their plans for a new trial. Clancy's defense team has also filed motions seeking dismissal of the charges and an investigation into the accusations made by the other jurors against Desronvil.
