Holden Escapes UK Storm for Abu Dhabi Holiday

Amanda Holden, 55, shared images of her vacation on Friday, showcasing her in a yellow string bikini and a matching cheesecloth shirt from Melissa Odabash. She is on a trip with her husband, Chris Hughes, 54, who has been handling photography duties.

Holden joked on social media about the weather, stating, "Apparently Britain has gone with the wind!! I’ve gone with the sunshine. Love Abu Dhabi, Just me and Chris!" Her post was met with comments from celebrity friends, including Lisa Snowdon and Heart FM co-host Sian Welby, complimenting her appearance.

While Holden enjoyed the sunshine in Abu Dhabi, the UK was experiencing Storm Austen, which brought 80 mph gusts and heavy rain. The storm caused school closures and power outages for thousands of homes, with train and flight cancellations also reported. The South West of England was particularly affected, with over 16,000 homes losing power, especially in Cornwall.

Storm Austen, the first named storm of the season, was expected to move eastwards into the North Sea by Friday evening. Another low-pressure system, Storm Boelo, was anticipated to arrive on Saturday.

In other news, reports from last month indicated that Holden is planning to expand her business ventures. Having already launched a homeware collection and serving as an ambassador for Sam Faiers' Revive Collagen brand, Holden has filed trademark applications for her name. According to The Sun, the application submitted to the Intellectual Property Office covers future use on beauty products, websites, cosmetics, and perfumes. This move appears to be inspired by the success of other celebrities' wellness brands, such as Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop and Holly Willoughby's Wylde Moon.
