Hillary Clinton Predicts Trump Will Become 'More Unhinged' If GOP Suffers Major Election Defeat

Hillary Clinton has cautioned that former President Donald Trump may become more erratic and dangerous if the Republican party experiences substantial losses in the upcoming midterm elections.

In a recent episode of her podcast, "High Stakes," with Kara Swisher, Clinton outlined her predictions for Trump's behavior following a significant defeat, particularly if both the Senate and the House of Representatives shift to Democratic control. She suggested that Trump would initially deflect blame, attributing any losses to others before becoming "even more unhinged and sadly more dangerous."

Clinton invoked a concept from behavioral psychology, stating that individuals in a "domain of loss" tend to "double down on risk." She posited that this could lead Trump to escalate actions, including potentially launching more attacks in the Middle East, which she believes would put American lives at risk.

She also anticipated that Trump would "demand even greater loyalty from the Republicans to stick with him" as a Democratic-controlled Congress attempts to hold him accountable through various means. Clinton suggested that public outrage, as seen in the reaction to the idea of streaming an execution, could be a factor in influencing Trump's actions.

Clinton theorized that an electoral defeat could leave Trump increasingly isolated, causing him to "start coming apart at the seams." She noted that the issues Trump campaigned on, such as immigration, foreign policy, and the economy, are currently not favorable for him. Clinton described Trump as a "lame duck" who might soon face a Democratic Congress intent on investigations and oversight of his administration, his family, and his allies.

She concluded by urging vigilance, stating, "Buckle up. The election is just the beginning." Clinton emphasized the need for Democrats to not only win the election to hold Trump accountable but also to demonstrate effective governance by addressing issues like affordability and corruption to help the American people.
