Hilaria Baldwin Posts Lingerie Selfie as Husband Awaits Rust Shooting Documentary Release

Hilaria Baldwin shared a lingerie selfie on Instagram this week, juxtaposing a playful online persona with the impending release of a documentary about her husband Alec Baldwin's legal troubles stemming from the fatal 'Rust' shooting.

The 42-year-old fitness influencer posted the revealing photo, showcasing her physique, within an album of her New York Fashion Week activities. The image appeared days after the trailer for "The Trial of Alec Baldwin" was released, offering a glimpse into the actor's private experience with the legal proceedings.

The documentary, set to premiere in theaters soon, covers the events of October 2021, when a prop revolver Alec Baldwin was holding discharged on the set of the Western film 'Rust' in New Mexico. The incident resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.

Alec Baldwin has consistently denied pulling the trigger, stating he was assured the firearm contained no live ammunition. A charge of involuntary manslaughter against him was dismissed by a New Mexico judge in 2024 due to prosecutorial misconduct.

The documentary trailer features Baldwin expressing his anxieties prior to the dismissal. "I want to be acquitted so I can walk out the door and everybody just leave me alone," he is heard saying. "I never dreamed of my life that this would come down to this."

Filmed from 2023 onward, the documentary is directed by Rory Kennedy. The trailer also includes Hilaria Baldwin, who notes the arrival of paparazzi and advises her husband to "take the kids out of town."

In a confessional segment within the trailer, Alec Baldwin reflects somberly on the shooting, recalling, "When they told me she died, I was in shock. I was in disbelief." He adds, "Whatever I could do. But there's nothing you can do." The sneak peek concludes with Baldwin acknowledging, "People who watch this will see so much of me at my worst."

Hilaria Baldwin herself faced public attention following the shooting when she interrupted an impromptu press conference held by her husband. She corrected a reporter for momentarily forgetting Hutchins' name and spoke about limiting the family's post-traumatic stress by traveling to Vermont.

A New Mexico judge dismissed the manslaughter charge against Baldwin in July 2024, citing errors in the prosecution's handling of evidence. The prosecutor had argued that certain bullets were excluded from the case file because they did not match evidence found at the scene.

Rust's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months, though she was released early for good behavior. In January 2025, Baldwin filed a lawsuit against members of the Santa Fe District Attorney's office for malicious prosecution, but the case was dismissed later that July due to his failure to file required documents.

Matthew Hutchins, Halyna Hutchins' widower, received a producer credit on 'Rust' as part of a wrongful death settlement. He expressed respect for the court's decision regarding the dismissal of charges against Baldwin but indicated a hope for future legal proceedings.

'Rust' premiered internationally in September 2024 and opened in the United States in May 2025, receiving mixed reviews. Rory Kennedy commented on the case's complexity, stating that while she empathizes with Hutchins and her family, "there should be room to see how there can be more than one victim."
