Lleyton and Bec Hewitt have relisted their $14 million Sydney mansion as they adjust their time at the home to support their son Cruz's burgeoning tennis career.
The couple is seeking a buyer for their Glenhaven estate, which they purchased three years ago for $10.3 million from Nathan Hindmarsh, a former Parramatta Eels player, and his wife Bonnie. The property was initially listed in June but was temporarily withdrawn while the family traveled through Europe for Cruz's tennis tournaments.
Now back on the market, the estate retains its $14 million price expectation. This figure represents a potential gain of $3.7 million over their purchase price, before accounting for improvements and associated expenses. Cruz, 17, is currently building his career on the senior circuit, having reached the Wimbledon boys' singles final in July. He has also been competing internationally, recently winning his opening match at the Phan Thiết Challenger in Vietnam.
Lleyton Hewitt, a former world No. 1 and two-time Grand Slam singles champion, has been accompanying Cruz on his travels, providing coaching and support. Cruz has spoken about his father's influence, describing him as a supportive coach who fosters a positive mentality. "My dad does help me a lot," Cruz stated after Wimbledon. "He's in my corner. He's coaching a little bit, but he's also just there for support. And every time I look over at him, he's showing me positivity."
While Lleyton travels with Cruz, Bec Hewitt has primarily remained in Australia, supporting their daughters Mia and Ava in their pursuits in music, fashion, and acting. The family's extensive travel schedule has led to speculation about a potential base in Florida or the Bahamas, though no relocation has been confirmed. The Hewitts previously resided in Nassau in 2009 during Lleyton's playing career to manage the demands of international travel with young children.
The Glenhaven property features a championship-size tennis court recently resurfaced by GreenSet, the same company responsible for the Australian Open courts. The six-bedroom, four-bathroom residence sits on five acres and includes a swimming pool, a guest cottage, a gym, a barn, and two paddocks. A removable sprung dance floor is also available for family activities.
The home was previously renovated by Bonnie Hindmarsh, co-founder of Three Birds Renovations, transforming the original 1990s brick house into a modern coastal barn-style home. The interiors boast vaulted ceilings, multiple entertaining areas, a cellar, and a mudroom. The kitchen is equipped with Gaggenau appliances and a butler's pantry. The main bedroom includes a large walk-in wardrobe and an ensuite with a bathtub overlooking the grounds. The Hewitts have also made improvements, including landscaping by Secret Gardens.
The family returned to Sydney in 2023 after living in Melbourne, having sold their Toorak mansion for $15.2 million in 2022. They also sold a Gold Coast property for $4.9 million last year.
