Helena Bonham Carter and Partner Rye Dag Holmboe Enjoy Romantic Dog Walk

Helena Bonham Carter, 60, and her boyfriend Rye Dag Holmboe, 38, were photographed during a dog walk in London's Hampstead on Tuesday. The couple, who have been together since being linked in October 2018, appeared to be enjoying a domestic outing.

Bonham Carter wore a grey blouse paired with red trousers that featured a lace-trimmed hem. She also had a pink jumper tied around her waist and wore two pairs of glasses on her head. Holmboe, a psychoanalyst, opted for a blue shirt and trousers with a green jumper around his neck.

The actress has previously spoken about her views on marriage, stating that she does not believe in making a lifelong commitment. "I mean, we're not meant to be forever," she said in December. "And I've never actually gotten married because I can't say those [words], I can't honestly make that promise because I just don't think it's a healthy one."

Bonham Carter and Holmboe first met at a wedding they both almost missed. "A totally random thing, which both of us nearly didn't go to, so it was one of those moments that was so chance and ended up determining so much," she recalled. "A really happy accident, and it's an amazing thing."

The couple made their relationship public the following year, five years after Bonham Carter's split from director Tim Burton, with whom she has two children. Bonham Carter has described Holmboe as an "old soul" and commented on their 21-year age difference, noting that maturity levels can vary. "My boyfriend is unbelievably mature. He's an old soul in a young body, what more could I want?" she stated.
