Helen Flanagan Sells Clothes Amid Financial Struggles
Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan is selling items from her wardrobe on Vinted as she navigates financial difficulties.
Helen Flanagan, known for her role on Coronation Street, has taken to selling her pre-owned clothing on the resale app Vinted, stating she is experiencing 'money troubles.' The 36-year-old actress shared her activities on her Instagram Stories this past weekend, showcasing a plunging corset dress she offered for £80.
Flanagan has spoken openly in recent months about her financial challenges as a single mother. The sale of her former home, which she shared with ex-partner Scott Sinclair, comes amid these difficulties. The Lancashire property, where she lived with their three children—Matilda, 11, Delilah, 8, and Charlie, 5—was reportedly sold for £945,000. The home was initially listed for £1.5 million. Sinclair, with whom Flanagan split in 2022 after 13 years together, was the sole registered owner and paid for the property in cash.
Following the sale of the house, Flanagan admitted in an Instagram video that she had been feeling uncertain about herself. "I kind of feel like… I'm turning 36 in August, I've just done this house move, I'm kind of unsure where I am like career wise as well," she said. "There's a lot of change going on and I don't know, I've just felt a bit weird in myself."
She has also expressed uncertainty about her next living arrangements, considering a move to London but having decided against buying property locally. Flanagan also voiced frustration regarding her acting career, stating, "I've just felt frustrated with work as well because I really want to act and basically, I just want a job at the moment and feel frustrated in that way."
Flanagan previously revealed that by the time her relationship with Sinclair ended, she was struggling financially as a single mother, at one point claiming she could not afford taxis for her son's nursery. The couple, who were never married, had moved into the six-bedroom home in June 2021, which Sinclair purchased for £840,000. A friend indicated that Sinclair had been covering the mortgage and bills, deeming the large house too big for Flanagan and the children alone.
A significant point of contention between the former couple was a £15,000 sofa. After their breakup, just a year after moving into the home, Scott reportedly wanted to cease paying maintenance and bills, while Flanagan argued she had invested personal funds into renovations. In May, Sinclair allegedly intervened to prevent Flanagan from selling the sofa on Instagram for £3,950.
