The former marital home of actress Helen Flanagan and footballer Scott Sinclair has finally sold for £945,000, a figure significantly lower than its initial asking price. The six-bedroom mansion in Belmont, Lancashire, was put on the market for £1.5 million in May 2025, but after a year on sale and multiple price reductions, it sold for £555,000 less than originally listed.

Flanagan, who was once reported to be worth £3.5 million, has publicly spoken about her financial struggles as a single mother, stating she could not afford taxis to take her son to nursery. The actress reportedly invested £150,000 of her own money into renovating the 5,000-square-foot property.

Property Sale and Price Reductions

Initially listed at £1.5 million in May 2025, the asking price was quickly reduced to £1.195 million within four weeks. Further cuts saw the price drop to £995,000. The final sale price of £945,000 was achieved after an additional £50,000 reduction.

Land Registry records show the property was purchased by a couple operating a property management company. Scott Sinclair, who bought the house for £840,000 in June 2021, was the sole registered owner and reportedly paid for the property in cash. Despite their 13-year relationship and shared history in the home, Flanagan and Sinclair were never married.

Disputes and Financial Revelations

During their relationship, Flanagan and Sinclair documented their home renovation projects, including a Harry Potter-themed playroom and a £15,000 sofa, on a dedicated Instagram account. Following their split, the sofa became a point of contention, with Sinclair reportedly blocking Flanagan's attempt to sell it for £3,950.

Flanagan has been open about her financial difficulties since the couple's separation. She revealed her struggles while facing magistrates for traffic offenses, stating she would have difficulty affording essential travel for her son's nursery. Accounts for her company, HJF Darling Ltd, showed an income of £126,597 in the past year, with total assets less liabilities at £85,446.

Flanagan expressed sadness about leaving the home, noting the significant effort and savings she invested in its renovation. She also indicated that the house was not under her name, a decision she does not recommend. The sale of furniture, including the controversial sofa, was announced as she prepared for a new beginning.

Sinclair, a former professional footballer, had a career spanning 21 years and multiple clubs, reportedly earning up to £55,000 per week at his peak. His contract was not renewed by Bristol Rovers when the club was relegated in May 2025. Flanagan, known for her role as Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, left the soap in 2012 and has since appeared in reality television and pantomimes.
