Helen Flanagan has described herself as the "wicked witch" while openly discussing the challenges of single motherhood. The 36-year-old actress, who shares Matilda, 11, Delilah, eight, and five-year-old Charlie with ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, revealed her feelings of exhaustion and being "overstimulated" in a recent Instagram post.

Flanagan, who split from Sinclair in 2022 after 13 years together, admitted she is "sick of the arguing" among her children. Despite these difficulties, she emphasized her deep love for them. The candid post also touched upon feeling overwhelmed, experiencing "mum guilt," and struggling to keep up with work emails, messages, and social connections. She noted she was "due my period" and felt like the "Wicked Witch of the West."

In recent times, Flanagan has also expressed sentiments of independence, stating, "I don't need a man." She celebrated her 36th birthday in Lake Como with her daughter Delilah, sharing moments from the trip on social media. She reflected on her year of being single, indicating a preference for connection but a refusal to settle for a relationship that isn't right. Flanagan also shared that she is not someone who enjoys being alone and typically seeks company with friends or family when her children are not with her, describing her mood as "up and down."

The actress has been open about the "mum guilt" associated with raising her three children alone. She has credited her mother, Julia, with providing significant support in childcare, managing daily family life, assisting with homework, and handling household tasks like washing and cooking, especially due to Flanagan's work commitments. Flanagan stated that she "would die without her."
