Heiress Who Lost Custody Kills Daughter, Then Herself
A Texas heiress, Cibelle Savella, lost custody of her 4-year-old daughter hours before fatally shooting the child and then herself in a Houston townhouse. Savella died two days later from her injuries.
Cibelle Savella, 35, lost custody of her daughter Vivian on Tuesday morning, according to reports. Hours later, Savella allegedly shot and killed the 4-year-old girl at a Houston townhouse before shooting herself. Savella died on Thursday afternoon from her injuries, having initially been reported as likely to survive.
The custody hearing took place between Savella and her ex-husband, Aaron Savella, a private equity lawyer. Court documents indicate that Aaron Savella was granted complete control over his daughter's upbringing. The couple divorced in 2022.
Savella was scheduled to hand Vivian over to her father on Tuesday night. Instead, the shooting occurred in the townhouse owned by Savella's partner, Greg Kubala. Police stated that Kubala and a babysitter were present at the residence during the incident but were not involved in the events that transpired.
Aaron Savella has since released numerous photographs of himself with his daughter. Cibelle Savella was also known by the last name Kubala.
