Billionaire dynasty heiress Isabel Getty, 32, married British financier Faris McKinnon, 41, in a London ceremony this week. Getty, the great-granddaughter of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, wore a white skirt suit and blue stilettos for the occasion.

The couple exchanged vows at Chelsea Old Town Hall and celebrated with friends and family at Harry's Bar in Mayfair. Getty and McKinnon, who welcomed their son Viggo last year, were married on Thursday in front of a small group of relatives and friends. Photos from the event were shared on social media.

"It was a beautiful day celebrating a wonderful couple. Everyone is so happy for them," a source close to the couple told the Daily Mail.

For the ceremony, Getty chose a fitted white jacket with fringed edging and a matching short skirt, paired with a white pillbox-style hat and cobalt blue heels. McKinnon wore a blue double-breasted suit. Their son, Viggo, was present at the ceremony.

The Getty family's history has been marked by significant tragedies despite their vast wealth. In 1973, Isabel's great-uncle, John Paul Getty III, was kidnapped in Rome. His captors demanded a multimillion-dollar ransom, and after J. Paul Getty initially refused to pay, they severed the teenager's ear. A reduced ransom was eventually paid, and John Paul Getty III was freed, but he later struggled with drug addiction and suffered a stroke that left him severely disabled. He died in 2011 at the age of 54.

Other family tragedies include the death of J. Paul Getty's youngest son, Timothy, from a brain tumor at age 12, and the 1973 overdose death of his eldest son, George. Talitha Getty, an actress and model who married J. Paul Getty Jr. and became a 1960s style icon, died in Rome in 1971 at age 30 from a suspected heroin overdose.

The Getty family's story has been the subject of film and television, including the 2017 film "All the Money in the World" and the 2018 television series "Trust," which dramatized the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III.

Isabel Getty is also from the maternal billionaire dynasty of Robert Miller, co-founder of DFS Group. Her aunts include Marie-Chantal Miller, married to Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, and Alexandra Miller, previously married to Prince Alexander von Furstenberg.

Isabel Getty has established her own career in London as a gallery owner and singer. She runs The Graduate Gallery in Fitzrovia and fronts the rock band Jean Marlow. She has spoken about the public's perception of her due to her family name, stating, "Some people bring a prejudice beforehand about meeting me – socially, professionally." She added, "Which is fine, but after a while hopefully that goes. It's just my family."

The wedding follows Isabel's hen weekend in Copenhagen, where friends wore masks bearing Faris McKinnon's face.
