Supermodel Heidi Klum, 53, was seen enjoying a sunny day in St. Barts aboard a boat with her daughter Leni, 22, and son Henry, 20. The family engaged in activities such as swimming and snorkeling during their outing.
Klum wore a cream bikini, while Leni sported a blue two-piece swimsuit. Leni also took on the role of photographer for her mother during the excursion. Henry was observed practicing his diving skills.
The outing follows Klum's recent comments about body image and societal expectations. She shared that her husband, Tom Kaulitz, encouraged her to embrace a fuller figure, stating that women often look better with more curves as they age. Klum mentioned that this perspective contrasts with the constant industry pressure to be thinner.
"I think with age, we look better when we’re not as skinny. My husband was the first one who pointed that out. He said, ‘You should eat more; you would look better if you had more meat on your bones,’" Klum told Us Weekly. She also expressed disinterest in weight loss drugs like Ozempic, noting that she has gained weight over the years and no longer fits into a size 24 jean.
Klum also reflected on past experiences in the modeling industry, recalling photographers who criticized her and told her she was "too fat." She also made a rare comment about her ex-husband Seal, defending him against public criticism of his appearance, noting he has lupus.
"You can’t please everyone, and not everyone is going to like what you do, but you have to look in the mirror and be happy with who you are," Klum stated, emphasizing self-acceptance. She has previously spoken about her comfort with nudity on European beaches, viewing it as a natural and common practice.
Klum and Kaulitz married in 2019. Klum also has children Johan, 19, and Lou, 16, with Seal. Leni is Seal's adopted stepdaughter. Klum and Seal were married from 2005 to 2014.
In other ventures, Klum has collaborated with the snack company Funny-Frisch for a limited edition crisp flavor featuring her image on the packaging, scheduled for release in German stores in August.
