Model Heidi Klum, 53, was seen embracing her figure in a cream bikini during a boat excursion in St. Barts on Tuesday. She was accompanied by her daughter Leni, 22, and son Henry, 20, for a day of sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling.
Klum wore a string bikini paired with a New York Yankees cap. Leni, who is following in her mother's modeling footsteps, sported a blue swimsuit by Loleia and used a snorkel. Leni also took on the role of photographer for her mother during the outing. The family engaged in various activities, with Heidi and Leni swimming and Henry practicing his diving.
This family vacation comes after Klum shared her husband Tom Kaulitz's encouragement for her to embrace a fuller figure. "You should eat more; you would look better if you had more meat on your bones," Kaulitz reportedly told her. Klum, who has been married to the musician since 2019, noted that this advice is contrary to the typical industry pressure to be thinner. She also stated she has no interest in GLP-1 weight loss drugs, such as Ozempic, and has gained weight over the years.
Klum reflected on past experiences in the modeling industry, recalling photographers telling her she was "too fat" and making her cry. She also commented on public criticism of her ex-husband Seal's appearance, defending him against comments about his skin, noting he has lupus. Klum emphasized the importance of self-acceptance, stating, "You have to look in the mirror and be happy with who you are."
Heidi Klum shares sons Henry, Johan, and daughter Lou with ex-husband Seal. Seal adopted Leni, Klum's daughter from a previous relationship. The couple was married from 2005 to 2014.
In other ventures, Klum has collaborated with the snack company Funny-Frisch for a limited edition crisps line featuring her image. The product is scheduled for release in German stores in August.
Klum has previously expressed comfort with nudity on beaches, particularly in European settings, and has stated that she enjoys feeling free while swimming on vacation.
