Hegseth: Execution of Nidal Hasan to Be Publicly Viewable

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced Thursday that the execution of Nidal Hasan, scheduled for December at Fort Hood, will be publicized. Hegseth stated that arrangements will be made to ensure the execution is public and viewable by individuals.

"We'll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it's public, because people need to understand that ... there's serious consequences for these types of things," Hegseth said in an interview with Human Events. The execution is slated to occur by firing squad.
