Heathrow Launches Exclusive 'Remote' Airport Lounge with Luxury Amenities

Heathrow Airport has introduced a new luxury airport lounge concept called 'The Lounge,' offering a remote check-in experience designed to enhance the travel journey beyond the terminal. Operated by airport concierge service DiamondAir, the lounge aims to provide a tranquil escape from the typical airport hustle.

The service, which opens on October 1, allows travelers to have their luggage collected and processed through the airport's baggage system while they relax in a private setting. The lounge itself is located a short drive from the airport terminal, distinguishing it from traditional lounges found within airport security.

For a price of £340, the comprehensive package includes access to The Lounge and a meet-and-assist service. The lounge portion costs £195 per person, with the meet-and-assist service priced at £145 per person. DiamondAir also offers an optional private chauffeur service from central London, which costs approximately £150.

Inside The Lounge, guests can enjoy an à la carte menu with breakfast options such as Oak Smoked Salmon Blinis and DiamondAir French Toast, alongside signature cocktails. Lunch offerings include the En Route Club Sandwich and various lounge snacks. The bar is stocked with free-flowing Veuve Clicquot, a selection of wines, cocktails, and soft drinks. Travelers can also access a coffee machine and enjoy views of Terminals 2 and 3 through floor-to-ceiling windows.

For those seeking relaxation, the on-site KarmAir wellness spa offers treatments such as massages and jet-lag revival services, catering to long-haul travelers. The lounge has a capacity of 30 people, ensuring an intimate atmosphere.

Christina Lawford, founder and CEO of DiamondAir, stated that The Lounge was developed based on over 30 years of experience assisting travelers. She emphasized the goal of creating a boutique space where the airport journey begins with DiamondAir's team managing the process.

For £340, guests have access to the lounge as well as a meet-and-assist service

From the moment guests arrive at The Lounge, DiamondAir coordinates the entire journey to the aircraft, with an electric buggy service also available for booking. This service is designed to remove pressure points and streamline the airport experience for passengers.
