Hear'Say Members Reunite for Potential Tour
Suzanne Shaw and Kym Marsh appear for first time since announcing band's comeback, with Myleene Klass absent.
Suzanne Shaw and Kym Marsh have surfaced for the first time since confirming the reunion of their pop group Hear'Say. The duo appeared at the Global building to discuss their plans on Heart FM, dodging heavy rain.
Shaw, 45, wore a grey pencil skirt and black vest, while Marsh, 50, opted for a black shirt dress. The news of Hear'Say's return was revealed last week, though Myleene Klass is not part of the lineup.
A new Instagram account for the band, which disbanded in 2002, has shared a WhatsApp conversation between Marsh, Shaw, Danny Foster, and Noel Sullivan. The account's posts suggest a tour may be in the works, with members discussing the positive fan response to a previously shared tour clip and the 25th anniversary of their formation on the reality show Popstars.
Fans expressed significant excitement online, with many eagerly anticipating a tour. The band, formed through ITV's Popstars in 2000-01, achieved success with their debut single "Pure and Simple," which topped the UK charts.
Myleene Klass addressed her absence from the reunion, stating on Loose Women that she could not commit due to a busy schedule. She emphasized that her bandmates were respectful and included her in discussions, but her current commitments prevent her participation. Klass expressed fondness for her time in the band and indicated she would not rule out future involvement, adding that she remains on good terms with her former bandmates. She noted that while the reunion is being planned, nothing is yet set in stone.
Kym Marsh had previously hinted at a potential Hear'Say reunion to celebrate their 25th anniversary, suggesting a possible one-off performance. Hear'Say was among the pioneering UK pop groups formed via television talent shows. The group's initial formation and journey were documented on television, and their debut single set a chart record at the time. Kym Marsh departed the group in January 2002 and was replaced by Johnny Shentall, but the subsequent lineup did not replicate the earlier success. IMAGE1 IMAGE2 IMAGE4
