Hayden Panettiere's Parents Dispute Over Actress's Jewelry After Her Death
Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere are reportedly in disagreement over the ownership of earrings the "Heroes" actress was wearing when she passed away.
Hayden Panettiere's parents, Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere, are in a dispute over jewelry the late actress was wearing at the time of her death. According to a coroner's report obtained by Page Six, the "Bring It On: All or Nothing" star was wearing stud earrings that were removed during her autopsy.
Officials informed both parents that the earrings had been logged into the property and evidence section of the report for safekeeping. One parent requested the jewelry be mailed to their North Carolina address, while the other sought to have it sent to their California residence. The coroner's report stated that the personal effects would not be released until an agreement was reached between Vogel and Panettiere.
Panettiere was found unresponsive in a Greenville, South Carolina, Airbnb on August 16 and died at the age of 36. Her cause of death was determined to be the toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine, with the death ruled accidental.
Her death was preceded by a memorial service in Malibu, California, attended by various friends and co-stars, including Connie Britton. Panettiere's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was reportedly not invited to the memorial service.
