Hayden Panettiere's ex-boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were at the actress's apartment when she died Sunday, according to a heavily redacted incident report from the Greenville Police Department. An officer arrived at the scene at 1:58 p.m. on Sunday and Panettiere, 36, was pronounced deceased at 2:32 p.m.

According to the report, the officer first spoke with Zach Hickerson, who stated that his brother and Panettiere were dating. A significant portion of Zach Hickerson's account of the afternoon is redacted. The report noted that emergency medical technicians were working on Hayden when Zach Hickerson was "very emotional." Brian Hickerson's interview with the officer is also largely redacted, concluding with statements that he advised and that "They then called 911."

Brian "did not become emotional until EMS declared her officially deceased," the report stated. The Greenville County Coroner's Office said Monday that an autopsy revealed no signs of trauma that would have contributed to Panettiere's death. The office indicated that the cause and manner of death are pending further investigation and additional studies, and that the investigation remains active and ongoing.

Separately, a person with knowledge of the situation told The New York Times, on condition of anonymity, that Panettiere suffered cardiac arrest as a result of an apparent drug overdose. HuffPost has not independently verified this detail.
