Hayden Panettiere's Death Ruled Accidental Overdose

The death of actress Hayden Panettiere, 36, was officially ruled an accidental overdose, according to autopsy results.

Substances found in her system included fentanyl, benzodiazepines (such as Xanax), a muscle relaxant, and an antipsychotic medication. The medical examiner determined that the combination of these drugs led to her death.

Panettiere, known for her roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," had publicly spoken about her struggles with addiction and postpartum depression. She passed away in February. The "Heroes" actress had battled addiction for years and had previously undergone treatment.
