Actress Hayden Panettiere's death has been ruled accidental and was caused by drug intoxication, including fentanyl, the Greenville County Coroner's Office in South Carolina announced. The autopsy also identified other drugs in her system: 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine.
Panettiere, 36, died in August at an apartment in Greenville. The coroner's office stated that her autopsy revealed no signs of trauma that would have contributed to her death.
