Brian Hickerson, the on-off boyfriend of actress Hayden Panettiere, and his brother were present in the South Carolina apartment where Panettiere suffered a suspected fatal heart attack on Sunday, according to a police report from the Greenville Police Department.
Officers at the scene noted that Zach Hickerson, Brian's brother, was visibly emotional. However, the report states that Brian Hickerson exhibited no emotion until emergency medical services pronounced his 36-year-old partner dead.
Hickerson also allegedly presented police with a bag of medication that Panettiere had been taking. The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has indicated that the cause of Panettiere's death is currently under investigation. Audio from the 911 call made from the apartment, however, described the incident as a 'cardiac arrest'.
