Hayden Panettiere Memorial Draws Notable Names in Malibu

A celebration of life ceremony for actress Hayden Panettiere was held Saturday at Malibu Pacific Church, with around 150 people in attendance.

The event, which took place more than a month after her passing, included a release of doves, speakers, and musical performances.

Among those listed in the program as speakers were Sanoe Lake, Brad Farkas, Allie Beattie, Evan Ross, Jeff Beacher, Marnie Alton, Connie Britton, Kasey Kitchen, and Ben Smith. Musical and dance performers included Chau Pan, Mathew Engst, Kaala Clarke, Isabella D'Amore, and Charles Esten.

A quote featured in the program read, "May her fierce and beautiful light shine on forever."

Panettiere's former fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, with whom she shared their 11-year-old daughter Kaya, was named in a special thanks section of the program, along with several other individuals and the companies Avaline and Aviator Nation.

Following the ceremony, a private reception was held at an estate in Malibu Colony. Panettiere's father, Alan 'Skip' Panettiere, and her on-and-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson and his brother Zach were present.

Paris Hilton was also reported to be in attendance at the event.

Panettiere died on August 16 at a residence in Greenville, South Carolina. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, with initial reports suggesting a suspected drug overdose. Insiders have told outlets that authorities believe Panettiere fatally consumed an oxycodone pill laced with fentanyl.

Her representative has stated that the death remains under investigation pending toxicology results and that recent reports from unnamed sources are unverified.

First responders were called to a Greenville condo where resuscitation attempts were made before Panettiere was pronounced dead. According to a police report, Brian Hickerson provided authorities with a bag of medication found at the scene. Hickerson's lawyer has stated that there were no signs of foul play and that the investigation should be allowed to proceed.

Separately, Brian and Zach Hickerson were involved in an incident at a restaurant in Greenville, South Carolina, earlier this month, which led to Zach's arrest for disorderly conduct. An eyewitness told TMZ that the altercation occurred after the brothers were heckled about Panettiere's death. Zach Hickerson later told TMZ that public misconceptions about the actress's death had instigated the incident.
