Fashion designer Georgina Chapman, the ex-wife of disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein, was recently photographed with her boyfriend, actor Adrien Brody, during a boat outing in Ibiza. Chapman, 50, and Brody, 53, were seen soaking up the sun off the coast of the Spanish island.
Chapman, an English fashion designer, wore a strapless swim top and a patterned sarong. Brody, a two-time Oscar winner, was seen in patterned swim shorts. The couple, who began dating in 2019, have been together for over five years.
Chapman was previously married to Harvey Weinstein for ten years. They share two children, India, 15, and Dashiell, 13. Weinstein is currently incarcerated on Rikers Island after being convicted of criminal sexual assault.
Brody has reportedly taken an active role in raising Chapman's children. He has referred to them as calling him 'Popsy.' Weinstein himself has stated that he is content with Brody being a positive figure in his children's lives. He told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, "It's good that my kids have someone in their lives. And Georgina suffered terribly because of me. I'm glad she's finally found some happiness."
Weinstein also commented on how Chapman's luxury fashion label, Marchesa, faced backlash and was allegedly boycotted by many actresses after the allegations against him surfaced in 2017. He noted that many actresses who had previously worn her designs stopped doing so.
Weinstein, once a prominent figure in Hollywood, became a symbol of the #MeToo movement after numerous allegations of sexual misconduct emerged. He was convicted of sex crimes in both New York and California, though he has denied allegations of rape and sexual assault.
Chapman and Weinstein were together in 2017, shortly before the allegations led to his downfall. Chapman stated at the time that she was unaware of his alleged behavior and subsequently filed for divorce.
Chapman and Brody reportedly met in April 2019 at an event in Puerto Rico. According to sources, Chapman had been isolating herself following the dissolution of her marriage to Weinstein and was encouraged by friends to attend the event. The couple officially began dating a few months later.
Sources have described Chapman's current relationship with Brody as being more like a partnership, contrasting it with her previous marriage. They have reportedly been supportive of each other through various challenges.
