During a recent concert at Madison Square Garden, pop superstar Harry Styles recognized New York Knicks player Jalen Brunson in the audience, referring to him as the "king of New York." Styles extended his praise, stating, "I salute you," to Brunson, who was in attendance with his wife, Ali.

The acknowledgment came as Brunson and his wife returned to the iconic venue for the first time since the Knicks secured their first NBA championship in 53 years. Brunson, disguised in a black hoodie, sunglasses, and his signature hat, reacted to the shoutout with applause and a hand gesture to his heart.

Styles, noting Brunson's recent success, joked about the basketball star trying to have a quiet night out, comparing it to "Mickey Mouse going to Disneyland." He congratulated Brunson and encouraged the crowd to make noise in his honor.

Ali Brunson shared moments from the concert on her Instagram story, noting that their return to Madison Square Garden felt different after the championship win. The Knicks are scheduled to raise their championship banner on Oct. 20, prior to their season opener against the 76ers.

This event follows a notable summer for Brunson, which included attending the U.S. Open men's semifinal match. He is also slated to host the upcoming season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" on Sept. 26, becoming the first Knicks player to host the show.
