Harry Styles concluded his historic 12-night residency at London's Wembley Stadium on Saturday, delivering an emotional tribute to his former band, One Direction. Among the sold-out crowd were Liam Payne's parents, Geoff and Karen Payne, along with his sister Ruth and nephew.

Styles, who first rose to fame as a member of One Direction after their formation on The X Factor in 2010, acknowledged the group that launched his career. "I wouldn't be here tonight without four friends of mine," he told the audience. "I want to thank Niall, Louis, Zayn, and my dear friend, Liam!"

One Direction became one of history's most successful pop acts, selling over 70 million records globally and undertaking extensive stadium tours before their indefinite hiatus in 2016. Tragically, Liam Payne died in October 2024 at the age of 31 following a fall from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

The 12-night Wembley run marked the longest residency by a solo artist at the venue. Throughout the engagement, Styles was supported by country music star Shania Twain. The setlists featured hits such as "Golden," "Adore You," and "Music for a Sushi Restaurant," as well as new material from his latest album, "Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally."

The residency has garnered significant praise from fans and critics alike. The Daily Mail's Adrian Thrills described the first night as "triumphant," noting how far Styles has come since his beginnings with One Direction.

Earlier in the week, Styles also appeared to pay tribute to his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift during his penultimate show on July 3. On the same day Swift was reportedly marrying Travis Kelce, Styles performed "Two Ghosts," a song widely believed to be about Swift, which had not been featured in his setlist previously. While Styles was unable to attend Swift's wedding due to his tour commitments, his fiancée, Zoe Kravitz, was reportedly in attendance. Kravitz, who is a friend of Swift's, shares a songwriting credit on Swift's song "Lavender Haze."
