England captain Harry Kane described a round of golf with United States President Donald Trump as a "pretty surreal experience." The comments come after Trump, 80, had previously told reporters that he played golf with Kane and found him to be "a great player" and "a good golfer too."
Kane, 32, stated that the golf game took place approximately 18 months prior to his remarks, in Florida.
"So when the President invites you somewhere, it was a pretty surreal experience just to meet him and obviously play golf with him," Kane said. He added that Trump's golf game is "pretty good" and expressed a hope that he could play as well at Trump's age.
Kane, who plays for Bayern Munich, is known to be a keen golfer himself. The unique experience was one he was "just grateful that he invited me to play."
