Harrowing 911 Call Reveals Carrot Top Was 'Barely Breathing' During Suicide Attempt

A newly released 911 call captures the frantic moments when comedian Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was discovered in a state of distress at his Las Vegas home, reportedly after a suicide attempt.

In the audio obtained by TMZ, the woman who found the 61-year-old entertainer alerted emergency services, stating he had been "trying to commit suicide" and was "barely breathing." The caller, identified as a staffer's contact, was urged by the 911 operator to keep Thompson awake and monitor his breathing.

The operator guided the caller through procedures, instructing her to lay Thompson on his back, tilt his head, and check for respiration. The caller was also told to turn him on his side and clear his mouth and nose if he vomited. The sound of approaching sirens is heard in the background as the operator ensures the home's doors are unlocked for first responders.

Paramedics transported Thompson to a local medical facility, where his representative confirmed he was "under close medical care." The representative added that Thompson was "awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him."

This incident follows allegations of an extortion attempt against Carrot Top by singer Brian Evans, a former opening act. According to Thompson's lawyer, Evans allegedly demanded $500,000 in exchange for not leaking a USB drive containing sexually explicit content involving Thompson. Evans has denied these claims, stating the video in question was deleted and that the blackmail accusation is false. He expressed sorrow for Thompson's apparent self-harm but asserted that he was not responsible.

Carrot Top's representative, Jami Schlicher, stated that a federal court had recently declared Evans a "vexatious litigant" due to "serial" and "spurious" filings.
