As Harper Beckham prepares to celebrate her 15th birthday on Friday, her parents, David and Victoria Beckham, are concerned that the occasion may be overshadowed by the absence of her eldest brother, Brooklyn.

Sources close to the family suggest that Harper is devastated by Brooklyn's decision not to speak to her. Despite a once close bond, the siblings have reportedly been estranged since a public family disagreement last year.

"Harper is heartbroken and devastated at her brother's decision not to speak to her and now her birthday is just days away it becomes a difficult scenario once again," a source told the Daily Mail. "They were so close. Now he won't speak to her and she can't understand why. There is nothing worse for Harper than him ignoring her on her birthday."

Last year, both Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, posted public birthday wishes to Harper on Instagram. However, it is understood that contact has ceased since the feud reportedly began in April of the previous year, leading up to David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations, which Brooklyn and Peltz did not attend.

Friends of the Beckhams have reportedly dismissed suggestions that Brooklyn avoids speaking to Harper to spare her difficult situations as "stupid and insulting." In a recent incident, Harper reportedly visited Brooklyn and Nicola's home in Beverly Hills alone after her father received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame nearby. Neither Brooklyn nor Nicola were home, and she left a letter. The visit was photographed by paparazzi, which reportedly led Brooklyn to accuse his parents of orchestrating the photo opportunity, a claim his parents deny.

"All she wants is to have a relationship with her big brother. It is so horrifying and awful for David and Victoria to see," the source added. "Of course, everyone else in the family shows Harper so much love. But for the second year running it's likely there will be nothing from Brooklyn. It's not her fault that he is estranged. They've never had a cross word."
