Hannah Waddingham, known for her role as Rebecca Welton in the Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso," was seen out for dinner with her co-stars in New York City on Wednesday. Waddingham, 52, wore a sleeveless ivory silk dress and accessorized with dangling earrings and open-toe heels.
The outing comes as the fourth season of "Ted Lasso" has faced criticism. The Daily Mail's Christopher Stevens rated the new season two out of five stars, describing it as a "lazy mistake" and suggesting the show "has run its course." Stevens argued that by reviving a popular series that had concluded, Apple TV was repeating a Hollywood tendency to "rehash old ones" rather than developing new ideas.
Benji Wilson of The Telegraph awarded the season three stars, noting, "New Ted Lasso is the same as old Ted Lasso: a surprisingly delicate balance between the sickly-sweet and the smutty that leaves you marvelling at how they keep getting away with it."
Waddingham's personal life also saw a mention, with reports of her finding new love. She is reportedly in a relationship with Nick Beresford-Cleary, a consultant spine surgeon. Waddingham had previously focused on her role as a single mother to her daughter Kitty for eight years after her long-term relationship ended. She spoke in May about being ready to re-enter the dating scene, describing her new relationship as "lovely" and with someone "very good looking."
