Hamleys, the renowned London toy emporium, has officially released its curated list of the top 15 toys expected to be popular this Christmas. The selection spans a wide variety of interests and age groups, from toddlers to teenagers.
Among the highlighted items are Barbie Nutcracker Dolls and various fidget squishy sets, which are anticipated to be in high demand. The Big Squij range, featuring soft, slow-rise sensory toys designed for stress relief, is priced at £9.99 and comes in playful designs such as ducks, corgis, croissants, and hearts. These toys are made from soft foam or rubber and are designed to return to their original shape after being squeezed.
The Movers and Shakers line of soft toys, retailing for £34.99, is also expected to be a hit. This collection includes interactive plush pets designed to mimic real animals, with options like a West Highland Terrier, Golden Retriever, Husky, and a black and white cat.
For families seeking a nostalgic touch, Hamleys has included Articulate Under Pressure, a board game with a contemporary twist on a classic format. Priced at £24.99, it is positioned as a family-friendly game for Christmas Day, promising high-pressure gameplay and laughter.
Music enthusiasts might be drawn to the Hatsune Miku T-most PVC Figure, inspired by Japan's virtual pop star. Aimed at children aged seven and above, Hatsune Miku's career has been largely shaped by her fan base. The character is set to conclude a world tour leg at London's O2 Arena on November 12.
Character and figure toys are a significant part of the list, including two versions of Marvel's Dr. Doom and two Barbie dolls dressed for The Nutcracker, both priced at £29.99 each.
For a more immersive play experience, the Hatch Megalodon toy is available for £73.99. This larger-priced item involves placing an egg in a tank of water, where the Megalodon toy then emerges with accompanying sound effects and lights.
Car enthusiasts can look forward to the ScorpiX RC's transforming car, which costs £49.99. Designed for ages seven and up, this remote-controlled vehicle features smoke effects.
