Hamish Blake Removes Sam Wood Podcast Episode Amid Domestic Violence Charges
An episode of Hamish Blake's 'How Other Dads Dad' podcast featuring former 'The Bachelor' star Sam Wood has been removed from platforms following Wood's arrest and charges related to domestic violence.
A podcast episode featuring Sam Wood, former star of 'The Bachelor Australia,' has been removed by host Hamish Blake amid domestic violence charges against Wood.
The episode, titled "How Sam Wood Dads," was part of Blake's "How Other Dads Dad" podcast and originally aired in October 2023. While the episode description remains online, the audio link now indicates that the clip "does not exist or may be private."
The description for the now-removed episode highlighted Wood's openness about fatherhood, noting his journey of becoming a father to four daughters, including a stepdaughter.
Wood was arrested and subsequently refused bail on domestic violence charges involving his wife, Snezana. During a court hearing, prosecutors alleged that Wood had physically assaulted his wife at their Noosa apartment. The court was informed that Wood's stepdaughter called emergency services, reporting that her mother had been choked.
Prosecutors also described Wood's behavior as escalating and mentioned a previous, similar incident involving the couple in Victoria that did not result in a formal complaint. Photographs of Snezana's alleged injuries were presented in court.
Wood's legal team has disputed the prosecution's account, stating that Wood denies the allegations and intends to defend himself, potentially with a self-defense claim. Wood is to apply for bail in Queensland's Supreme Court.
Sam Wood is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
