Olivier Martinez, the ex-husband of actress Halle Berry, has been granted primary custody of their 12-year-old son, Maceo. The decision follows accusations made by Martinez that Berry choked their child.
A restraining order was issued on Thursday, which significantly alters the previous 50/50 custody arrangement. Berry will now have daytime visitation rights with Maceo, and is ordered to remain at least 100 yards away from Martinez.
The next court date for the former couple is scheduled for October 16.
