Halle Berry Denies Ex-Husband Olivier Martinez's Allegations of Child Abuse

Halle Berry has denied allegations made by her ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, that she choked and jumped on their 12-year-old son, Maceo. The accusations surfaced in court papers filed by Martinez, though Berry's representatives have stated the claims are untrue.
Sources close to the former couple describe their relationship as intensely acrimonious. "Olivier and Halle hate each other," one source told the Daily Mail. "If they were asked to say something nice about each other, you probably would not be able to force them into saying anything pleasant because they dislike each other so much."
Another source indicated that Martinez wants Berry to acknowledge the embarrassment the situation is causing and to accept the consequences. "Halle feels she is an ATM when dealing with Maceo and Olivier," this source added. "She believes she gets zero respect and is just there to pay, pay, pay."
Berry and Martinez were married in 2013 and divorced in 2016. Following their divorce, Berry spoke about enduring "a lot of pain and anguish."
Martinez also reportedly alleged that Berry's current fiancé, Van Hunt, treated Maceo fairly and supported the child when he packed a bag to leave, after Berry allegedly objected to him taking clothes she had purchased.
A source close to Berry stated she is "really saddened by the negative information that has gotten out about her, it is a real low blow." This source maintained that "Halle has been a great parent who is always there for her kids and gives them a wonderful life."
"It is beyond strained between them, and if it was not for Maceo, they would literally have nothing to talk about," a source claimed. "They never have anything nice to say about each other, ever."
Martinez, according to another source, "would be overjoyed if he was given full custody of Maceo because he feels that she is unfit being a mom."
Berry and Martinez also have a history of disputes with her other ex-partner, Gabriel Aubrey, over their now 18-year-old daughter, Nahla.
