Hailey Glassman Discusses Unconventional Marriage and Dating Preferences on RHONY
The 'Real Housewives of New York City' newcomer opens up to Carole Radziwill about her 'lavender marriage' and interest in dating women.
Hailey Glassman, a new cast member on 'The Real Housewives of New York City,' has revealed details about her unconventional marriage and shifting romantic interests. In an exclusive clip from an upcoming episode, Glassman discusses her arrangement with her husband, Rubin Cronig, which she has described as a "lavender marriage." This setup allows her to be intimately involved with women while remaining married to Cronig, with whom she has known since childhood.
During a conversation with fellow cast member Carole Radziwill, Glassman explained that her husband does not object to her dating women. However, when the topic turned to romantic involvement with men, Glassman expressed a lack of enthusiasm, stating she would rather avoid the perceived messiness associated with it. She admitted that men, in her current view, often do not offer significant value to a relationship, unless the desire is to have children. Glassman humorously referred to her husband as her child, indicating a non-traditional view of family.
Radziwill questioned why Glassman doesn't end the marriage if their arrangement allows for such independence. Glassman responded that divorce has not been necessary because the marriage has functioned for them. However, she acknowledged facing a "fork in the road," suggesting that the possibility of divorce exists if she were to meet a woman she felt compelled to leave the marriage for.
Glassman also offered her perspective on dating women, describing the experience as potentially stressful and characterized by a different "vibe" and "energy" compared to heterosexual relationships. She even made a comparison between the physical demands of dating women and Pilates, joking about the upper-body strength required. Radziwill, in a confessional segment, acknowledged the unique nature of these experiences.
The conversation also touched upon privacy, with Glassman quickly dismissing Radziwill's inquiry about videotaping herself, citing her husband's disapproval.
New episodes of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes streaming the following day on Peacock.
