New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan recently launched their new book, titled "Regime Change," at an event held at the New York Times headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. The book offers a behind-the-scenes look at political developments.

During the launch, Swan spoke about the role of editors in the journalistic process, comparing them to hospital workers who assist in ensuring a writer's work is presented properly. He emphasized the significant support editors provide, stating that "You cannot possibly imagine the amount of bare arse that would be on display in the pages of ‘Regime Change’ if Maggie and I couldn’t rely on a monumental amount of help from our editors."

Haberman, in turn, praised Swan's career trajectory, noting his rise to become a top Washington D.C. reporter through dedication and a positive demeanor. "And he did it the old fashioned way: through hard work, and not being an a - - hole," she remarked.

The event was attended by numerous notable figures from journalism and media, including A.G. Sulzberger, Joe Kahn, Carolyn Ryan, Sam Dolnick, Jake Silverstein, and many others. Also present were figures such as Chris Christie, Preet Bharara, and media executives Jeff Zucker and Alison Gollust. Family members of Haberman and Swan, including Swan's wife Betsy Woodruff Swan and Haberman's husband Dareh Gregorian, were also in attendance.
