Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Prison Calls, Violent Video Emerge After Baby Daddy's Death
Recordings and footage detail the volatile relationship between Blanchard and Ken Urker prior to his death on his 34th birthday.
New details have surfaced regarding the relationship between Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker, the father of her child, following Urker's death. The Daily Mail has obtained prison call recordings and video footage that allegedly depict a volatile dynamic between the two.
Autumn Urker, Ken Urker's sister, told the Daily Mail that she believed the recordings were humiliating to her brother. The outlet acquired recordings of Blanchard's prison calls, some of which were made in September 2025. In one call, Blanchard reportedly confessed that Urker had requested sole custody of their daughter. Another recording features Blanchard speaking with an inmate friend about people close to her who expressed fear of her, referencing her past imprisonment. "There are people close to me that are, like, 'You scared the f**k out of him. You know what you were in prison for,'" Blanchard can be heard saying in the recording.
Autumn Urker, 31, spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail, aiming to provide dignity to her brother's name and refute rumors surrounding his death. She stated that her brother, who was 34 at the time of his death, slept with a gun "every night" due to public backlash. She also expressed concern for her brother and niece after viewing video footage of Blanchard exhibiting violent behavior. "She was doing all of this stuff while she was in jail," Autumn said, referring to Blanchard's actions captured on video. "She was already in prison, so she was doing all of this while she was in prison."
The obtained video footage reportedly shows an enraged Blanchard grabbing a pair of scissors and cutting up a carpet while recording herself. This video was sent to Urker. According to Autumn Urker, Ken Urker had concerns about their daughter's safety due to Blanchard's actions. She also stated that her brother threatened to leave Blanchard on multiple occasions before his death.
Police are currently investigating Ken Urker's death, and an official cause of death has not yet been released. Blanchard served time in prison from 2016 to 2023 for the second-degree murder of her mother.
