Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Prison Calls and Video Reveal Tumultuous Relationship with Late Baby Daddy
Recordings and footage offer a glimpse into the volatile dynamic between Blanchard and Ken Urker before his death.
New recordings of prison calls and video footage offer a stark look into the relationship between Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker, the father of her child, in the period leading up to his death on his 34th birthday. The recordings, obtained by the Daily Mail, include conversations from September 2025.
In one call, Blanchard confessed that Urker had requested sole custody of their daughter. She also spoke of the fear she instilled in others, with an inmate friend noting, "There are people close to me that are, like, 'You scared the f**k out of him. You know what you were in prison for.'"
Video footage obtained by the Daily Mail also captures a violent outburst from Blanchard, showing her enraged as she cut up a carpet while recording herself. She sent this video to Urker. Her actions in the footage made Urker's sister, Autumn, nervous for her brother and niece.
Autumn, who is 31, spoke to the Daily Mail, aiming to bring dignity to her brother's name and debunk rumors surrounding his death. She revealed that her brother slept with a gun every night due to public backlash. "She told the Daily Mail that she was 'nervous' for her brother and niece after she saw video footage of Blanchard acting violently.
Urker had allegedly threatened to leave Blanchard on multiple occasions before his death. His sister claimed that Urker had concerns about their daughter's safety during his relationship with Blanchard.
Police are investigating Urker's death, but an official cause has not yet been released. Blanchard served time from 2016 to 2023 for the second-degree murder of her mother, Clauddinnea "Dee Dee" Blanchard.
