Gypsy Rose Blanchard's Final Texts to Ken Urker Focused on Daughter

The final text conversations between Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker, prior to his death, primarily revolved around their 1-year-old daughter, Aurora. A source close to the couple told Page Six that their exchanges in the weeks leading up to Urker's passing were "normal" and "basically all about Aurora."

Blanchard, 35, and Urker, who had officially broken up about a month before his death, communicated largely on a "co-parent level," according to the source. The conversations were described as simple check-ins, such as "Hey, how's your day going? Cool," rather than deeply personal discussions.

The source explained that Blanchard avoided any romantic or flirtatious communication, recognizing Urker's struggles with his mental health. While she reportedly desired to reconcile, she also understood the need to give him space to heal.

"Once Gypsy accepted that [their relationship] was over is when she stopped the whole kind of relationship vibe," the source stated. The breakup was described as amicable, with no "nasty" interactions between them, and was attributed to Urker's mental health challenges.

"She missed him. She wanted him back, obviously, and he just wasn't in the right frame of mind," the source elaborated, noting that Urker's mental state had not been good for several months. Blanchard had hoped he would seek therapy.

Despite their romantic separation, they maintained contact to ensure Aurora's well-being, with the source adding, "They were in touch every few days checking in on Aurora, 'cause she had her all the time, and they'd FaceTime."

Urker and Blanchard initially met in 2017 while Blanchard was serving a prison sentence for the murder of her mother, Claudine "Dee Dee" Blanchard. They became engaged a year later but separated in 2019. Blanchard later married Ryan Scott Anderson in June 2022, but they ended their marriage after two years, after which she reconnected with Urker.

Ken Urker died last Thursday, his 34th birthday, at his Louisiana home. The Lafourche Parish Public Information Officer confirmed he was "found dead upon arrival." Police stated that while there was "no evidence of foul play," the death investigation was ongoing.

A police report obtained by Page Six indicated that drug paraphernalia, including syringes and a spoon, along with a brown powdery substance, were found in the bathroom. A syringe and a handgun were also discovered on the nightstand next to the bed.

Following the news of his death, Blanchard posted on social media that Urker had died from a suspected overdose. She described him as "an amazing father and a man who was deeply loved" and her "forever soulmate."

Blanchard also contended that Urker had been subjected to significant online harassment. "Ken endured an unimaginable level of public scrutiny and relentless cyberbullying across social media platforms, including TikTok and Reddit," she stated. She urged her followers to sign an online harassment petition in his memory and expressed gratitude for their support during her mourning period.
