Gypsy Rose Blanchard Recounts Final Moments With Late Ex-Fiancé Ken Urker
Blanchard shared details of a surprise Burger King delivery that unknowingly marked her last encounter with Urker before his death.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is reflecting on her final interaction with her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, before his untimely death.
Blanchard told Page Six that she delivered Burger King to Urker in September, unaware that it would be the last time she saw him. She described surprising him by posing as a DoorDash driver and leaving the food at his doorstep.
A screenshot of their text exchange from September 22, shared by Blanchard, shows Urker thanking her for the meal. Blanchard had jokingly responded, "You may leave me a five star review," alongside a photo of the food delivery.
Urker replied, "Omg ur so crazy lol," adding, "Even got me a Hershey pie 😂," referencing a Burger King dessert.
Reflecting on the exchange, Blanchard admitted her unawareness that it would be her last memory with Urker. "It was such a simple, silly little moment, but one that now means more to me than I could ever put into words," she said. "I didn’t know that would be the last time I would ever see him in person."
Blanchard stated she now cherishes the seemingly ordinary interaction as she continues to grieve Urker's passing. "Looking back, I’m grateful that one of my final memories of Ken was something lighthearted, thoughtful, and filled with kindness," she shared. "Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that become the most precious memories. I will carry that one with me forever."
Urker was discovered unresponsive in his Louisiana home on October 1, his 34th birthday, after family members requested a welfare check. Authorities found drug paraphernalia and a handgun at the scene.
Blanchard had previously expressed her belief that Urker died of an overdose, though she was uncertain if it was intentional. The official cause of death is pending toxicology results, and authorities have indicated no signs of foul play.
In the aftermath of his death, Blanchard also alleged that Urker had been subjected to persistent online harassment, which she believed contributed to his mental health struggles.
Blanchard and Urker, who reconnected in 2024 after initially meeting while Blanchard was incarcerated for her role in her mother's murder, welcomed a daughter, Aurora, in December of that year. The couple had separated shortly before Urker's death.
Blanchard and their daughter, who is now 21 months old, attended a private viewing for Urker. Blanchard has also been invited to Urker's funeral in Texas and has considered organizing a separate memorial service in Louisiana.
