Gypsy Rose Blanchard Calls for Kindness Amidst Ex-Fiancé's Death Gossip

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has publicly addressed the "gossip" surrounding the death of her ex-fiancé, Ken Urker, urging for kindness and an end to speculation. In an Instagram message posted on Thursday, Blanchard stated, "Your gossip could be the darkest time in someone’s life. Be kind."

Urker was found dead at his Louisiana home on his 34th birthday. Police reported no evidence of foul play but stated the death investigation was ongoing. A police report indicated that Urker was found with drug paraphernalia and a handgun. Blanchard had previously claimed Urker died of a suspected overdose.

Blanchard launched an online harassment petition, titled "#kenanslaw," in the wake of Urker's death. She stated that the petition aims to change how social media platforms handle harassment reports, not to restrict freedom of speech. She expressed a desire to turn her pain into purpose and advocate for a better system for those who feel unheard.

Blanchard and her one-year-old daughter, Aurora, attended a private memorial service for Urker in Louisiana. Urker's sister, Autumn, who had publicly accused Blanchard of misrepresenting details of Urker's death, was reportedly not present at the service.

Page Six reported that Blanchard and Urker had officially separated a month prior to his death, with sources citing Urker's mental health struggles as the reason for their breakup. Their final text conversations reportedly concerned their daughter, Aurora, who is set to turn two in December.

Blanchard and Urker first met in 2017 while she was incarcerated for her role in her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard’s murder. They became engaged a year later but ended their engagement in 2019. Blanchard later married Ryan Scott Anderson in 2022, but filed for divorce in 2024 after her release from prison. She subsequently rekindled her relationship with Urker.
