Gypsy Rose Blanchard Admitted to Defacing Ex-Fiancé's Headboard in Drunken Rage

Gypsy Rose Blanchard admitted to vandalizing her ex-fiancé Ken Urker's headboard in a drunken, jealous fit approximately one year before his death.

In a September 2025 phone call with a friend from prison, Blanchard detailed the incident, which occurred after she found a letter her then-partner had written to an ex. The "Life After Lockup" alum stated she had been drinking vodka, tequila, rum, and whiskey before returning home and grabbing a knife from the kitchen.

She recounted stabbing the headboard and carving the word "whore" into it, adding a note that read, "Sleep with your one and only. -G."

Blanchard also confessed to smashing a picture frame of the couple, causing glass to scatter. She further admitted to throwing letters they had exchanged during her incarceration into the air and cutting up a blanket she had made for Urker.

"Then I packed my suitcase and then I left to go to my parents house. Then I left him a lot of mean texts. ‘You’re a piece of s–t.’ … ‘I never wanna see you again.’ Still drunk as f–k,” Blanchard said.

Urker reportedly responded by stating his intent to seek sole custody of their daughter, Aurora, labeling Blanchard a "danger to [her]self and others around" her. Blanchard acknowledged her own volatile behavior, admitting, “There are people close to me like, ‘You scared the f–k out of him. You know what you were in prison for, to take out a knife in anger and lash out at an object?'”

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating Urker's death on October 1. While aware of the headboard incident, they stated it was not officially reported and would not have resulted in charges as only personal property was damaged.

Urker's sister, Autumn, expressed concern about Blanchard's behavior, noting she felt Urker was dismissive of her worries about Blanchard's escalating actions. The couple had reportedly separated amicably about a month before Urker was found unresponsive in his Louisiana home on what would have been his 34th birthday.

Urker's body was discovered with drug paraphernalia and a handgun. His sister claimed he had been sleeping with the weapon due to alleged death threats and doxxing.

While the official cause of Urker's death is pending, Blanchard described it as an "overdose" in a public statement. She later posted a tribute on Instagram calling Urker her "greatest love story."
