Apple Martin, 22, has made her acting debut in the upcoming romantic comedy "Paris Paramount," a role that has drawn comparisons between her appearance and that of her mother, Gwyneth Paltrow. Martin was recently photographed on the film's set in Los Angeles alongside actor Owen Wilson, who previously starred with Paltrow in Wes Anderson's 2001 film "The Royal Tenenbaums."

Martin's on-set attire, a blonde ponytail, peach cardigan, and jeans, has been noted for its resemblance to Paltrow's look in "The Royal Tenenbaums." This marks Martin's first foray into acting, though she has previously worked in modeling and had a brief singing career. She is also the granddaughter of actress Blythe Danner.

"Paris Paramount" centers on a young filmmaker who falls for a producer. The pair achieve success together but later separate and must reunite to collaborate on a high-profile project involving challenging actors. The film is directed by Nancy Meyers, known for her work on "The Parent Trap," "What Women Want," and "Something's Gotta Give."

Meyers confirmed the film's title, "Paris Paramount," on Instagram in 2023, explaining that it was inspired by a quote from director Ernst Lubitsch. The director stated that the movie explores the magic and mystery of filmmaking.

Other cast members in "Paris Paramount" include Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Erin Doherty, Jude Law, Tony Hale, and Beverly D'Angelo. Apple Martin's father is Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Martin, who graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in law, history, and society, told Vogue in February that she is shifting her focus to acting after previously expressing reservations about following her parents' career paths. She indicated a preference for acting over singing, citing the stage fright associated with solo singing performances.

Her interest in performance, however, extends to theater. Martin has expressed a deep affection for theater and has been involved in student films and directing a student play during her time at Vanderbilt.

This is not Martin's first reported venture into film; she was previously attached to Meyers' 2015 film "The Intern," though this did not come to fruition. Her acting debut follows a period where she had been establishing herself in the modeling industry for brands such as Gap and Chloé.

In recent years, Martin has also faced public scrutiny. She previously denied allegations of bullying after a video surfaced from an event in Paris. A source close to Paltrow described Martin as a "girls' girl," asserting that any misinterpretations of her actions were not malicious.
