Guzman Y Gomez Offers Free Burritos and New Menu Item
The restaurant chain is incentivizing app downloads with a free burrito and introducing a new BBQ Beef Rib filling.
Guzman Y Gomez is offering customers a free burrito upon downloading its loyalty app, GOMEX Rewards. This promotion aims to drive app adoption and reward new members.
Beyond the initial free burrito, GOMEX Rewards members can accumulate points for purchases, earning $10 in "GYG dollars" for every 150 points. Additional perks include complimentary medium fries and a buy-five-get-one-free coffee card.
The chain has also launched a new menu item: BBQ Beef Rib. This is the first new filling to be added in five years and features 100 percent Australian beef slow-cooked and finished with a signature Chipotle BBQ sauce. Chef Nate Appleman, GYG's Director of Culinary, described the cut as a tender chuck short rib, perfected over a year.
The BBQ Beef Rib can be added to burritos, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, and Caesar bowls for an additional charge. Customers ordering a bowl with the new filling before October 27 will receive 10 bonus points.
The BBQ Beef Rib is a permanent addition to the menu, available for dine-in, takeaway, drive-thru, and delivery orders. GOMEX Rewards can now be integrated with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet for easy access and point earning.
