Actor and comedian Ike Barinholtz, guest-hosting "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday, humorously suggested that President Donald Trump deserves credit for a widespread outbreak of explosive diarrhea across the United States. Barinholtz joked that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) under the current administration stopped tracking the parasite responsible for the illness last year, making containment more difficult.
Barinholtz proposed that the outbreak be officially named "Trump diarrhea," encouraging its use and the hashtag #TrumpDiarrhea on social media. He also pointed to a live television moment where Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer appeared to pass gas while discussing Iran policy.
"Listen closely here," Barinholtz quipped, "Because it sounds like legislation is not the only thing Chuck might be passing." He added, "This means we have the first known case of someone suffering from both Trump derangement syndrome and Trump diarrhea. He has both."
